One of the best ways to ensure that you have a consistent flow of visitors to your booth, and to offer them incentive to return to your stand every time you exhibit, is to create a memorable experience for them, and to make them feel really special.
However, most exhibitors just don’t know how to create this kind of experience, and consequently, they are unable to attract and retain visitors. Here are some of the ways you can use to create a nice experience for your trade show booth visitors:
Use emotional connection
People will never forget how you made them feel, and when you want to score highly with them during trade shows, you can think about creating an emotional connection the very moment they make a stop at your booth. The connection can be a general one, or you can tailor it to the products or services you are selling. Some of the ways to do this include:
- Hand, scalp or back massage – ideal for personal care items
- Tell a story – could be a personal story or simply how your business started, and how you have progressed since then
- Create a good ambience – the ambience you create in the tradeshow should reflect on the warmth of your business, and the confidence you display in your products and services.
Effective use of media
Use various social media to create awareness about the event, and also invite potential customers to attend. If you have any giveaways or incentives, social media would be a great platform to promote them. You can also incorporate videos of products and service demos to keep the visitors hooked to your booth. Finally, you can play nice background music to soothe your visitors, and then interact with them during the exhibition.
Snacks, drinks and contests
To make your booth more memorable, you can prepare things for your visitors to participate in or walk away with when they leave. These could be engaging games, contests, flyers and potentially snacks and drinks to make them happy.
